One of the founding members of the Sudanese Film Group, Eltayeb Mahdi, uses the story of a charlatan who claims to be able to heal people to explore questions of blind faith and authority.
Eltayeb Mahdi, born in Omdurman, Sudan in 1951, studied at the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo. He is a founding member of the Sudanese Film Group and a member of the editorial board of the magazine Cinema.
