Synopsis:

Amjad and Woroud, both in their early twenties, shared more than just their youth; they studied filmmaking together in Gaza before their world fell apart. The devastating war forced a harsh separation: Amjad fled to Egypt (Alexandria), while Woroud chose to stay rooted in the besieged city (Gaza), walking through its rubble-strewn streets to document their reality.

Now miles apart, they decided to face their reality by making a documentary, becoming both the directors and the main subjects. Their project became a lifeline of daily voice notes, shared footage, and raw ideas. Woroud searched Gaza for stories of resilience and destroyed homes, while Amjad recorded the testimonies of their exiled friends in Egypt, trying to piece together a map of their shared lost lives.

The story took an emotional turn when Amjad came across a documentary about their mutual friend Fatima Hassouna, who was killed during the war, and discovered that Woroud appeared in scenes with her. This coincidence broke their physical distance, sparking deep conversations about war, love, friendship, and cinema. Through this shared grief and memory, their film finally took its true shape—becoming a powerful testament to friendship, loss, and the enduring memory of Gaza.
