Synopsis:
When leaving Gaza becomes conditional on erasing every trace of your existence, a young woman is given the opportunity to evacuate to France, on the condition that she leaves all her personal belongings behind. A series of nightmares begins, blurring reality and memory. Realizing that her memories may be the only thing she can carry with her, she decides to transfer her entire archive into her mind, attempting to smuggle her memory across the border.

Abod Nasser

Abod Nasser Is a Palestinian visual artist and animator, born in Gaza in 2000 and currently based in Paris, where he is pursuing a Master’s degree at the École des Arts Décoratifs in the Cinema Department, specializing in animation. His practice moves between animation, visual art, and cinema, exploring themes of memory, survival, and the psychological transformations shaped by life in Gaza.

His films and visual works have been exhibited and screened in Palestine, France, and internationally, including at the Institut du Monde Arabe and Palais de Tokyo in Paris. He received the Best Comic Film Award from the French Institute in Gaza for Le Collecteur des Rêves, and has contributed to several film projects within their art departments, including Gaza Mon Amour and Once Upon a Time in Gaza.

Synopsis:
An experimental documentary film that follows martyr posters across cities, tracing how walls become a living archive of memory, loss, and resistance. Through close observation of weathered, torn, and repeatedly replaced images, that reflects on how public space preserves grief while time, violence, become witnesses to different ways of death

Fairouz Hassan

Fairouz Hassan is a Palestinian filmmaker, curator, and interdisciplinary artist a Film Directing graduate of Dar Al-Kalima University. Across experimental cinema, documentary, installation, and audiovisual performance, she investigates memory, political absence, imprisonment, and grief through archival, fragmented imagery. Lovely Butterfly (2026), tracing her father's twenty years in Israeli prisons through their letters, premiered at Visions du Réel, with selections at Cannes, Curtas Vila do Conde, and FIDCampus (FIDMarseille). Recent works: False Vectors (2025) with Muqata'a, and A Tree Fenced In (2025)installation. She curated We Are Not A Spectre at Dar Jacir and shorts for Ekrani i Artit.

Synopsis:
The life of a family — it could be any family, anywhere - its joys, its ordinary rhythms, its violent erasure — is witnessed entirely through the surface of a mirror: when only a young girl survives bombing and displacement, she goes into the looking-glass, where the final reflection she finds is herself.

Nizar Alzaeem

Nizar Alzaeem (family name Daraghmeh) was born in the West Bank in 2002. He studied at Birzeit University, 2022-25, where he graduated with a BA in English and linguistics. He has been collaborating in the development of feature films (notably “Mimesis”) and shorts (“Mirrors” and “Can”) with Appledore Films since 2025. He has been accepted to study scriptwriting at Goldsmiths College, London. He has also received a scholarship from Sussex University. His work explores themes of identity, displacement, and performance through character-driven storytelling.

Ahmad Saleh (b. 1980) is a filmmaker, writer, director, and professor of animation. At the age of 18, he returned to Palestine, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering. Inspired by life in Palestine, Ahmad began writing and published his first short story collection, which received the A.M. Qattan Foundation's Young Writer Award. In 2007, he moved to Germany, where he earned two master’s degrees—one in Digital Media and another in Film Writing and Directing. His award-winning short films HOUSE (2012, German Short Film Award), AYNY (2016, Student Academy Award), and NIGHT (2021, Locarno Film Festival premiere) have screened globally.

Basel Nasr (b. 1980) is an animator, producer, and educator with over 20 years of experience in animation and visual storytelling. He co-founded ZAN Studio in 2005 and established Al-Masna, an animation studio in Ramallah, in 2015. His work spans 2D and stop-motion animation, motion graphics, and documentary storytelling—frequently exploring themes of everyday life, identity, and socio-political issues. In addition to creating, he teaches animation and designs training programs for emerging artists and educators.

Mats Grorud (b. 1976) is a Norwegian director and screenwriter. He made his feature directorial debut with the animated film The Tower (Wardi), which premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2018, screened at over 200 festivals worldwide, made the 2019 Oscar longlist, and won numerous international awards. Educated in Norway, Denmark, Tanzania, Lebanon, and China, Grorud draws deeply on his global experiences to craft socially and politically engaged work. He has operated his production company, Nubbsjangs Production, since 2003, co-founded "Palestine Animated," and initiated "Posters for Palestine — Norway." His directorial works include My Grandmother Beijing (2008) and Santa Klaus (2010), alongside animation credits on Grandpa Is a Raisin (dir. Pjotr Sapegin, 2004) and Backyard Stories (dir. Trygve Nielsen / Julie Engaas / Svend Ask, 2005).

On the Sea Road

Synopsis:
Amid war, through cameras and WhatsApp calls, a fragile yet powerful friendship unfolds between two young Palestinian women - one in besieged Gaza, the other in Yafa - as they struggle to stay connected while distance and collapsing communication threaten to separate them. Their bond becomes both a lifeline and an act of quiet resistance, revealing solidarity, the painful contradictions of their radically unequal realities, and a shared search for freedom and identity.

Fitnat Waked

Fitnat Waked is a Palestinian filmmaker and producer from Yafa working across documentary and fiction. Her films explore identity, memory, womanhood, and belonging through intimate, self-reflexive storytelling rooted in lived experience.

In 2025, her short documentary “The Voices of Souls” was selected for the Al Jazeera Short Doc Competition and screened on Al Jazeera’s digital platforms. In 2026, she completed “SADA”, her first short fiction film.

She is currently directing and producing “On the Sea Road”, her first feature documentary, unfolding between Yafa and Gaza, while continuing to explore self-representation, connection, and Palestinian experience through participatory and character-driven cinema.

The Sky is No Longer Blue

Synopsis:
The film follows three artists from Gaza as they experience genocide through their bodies, memories, and art, where creative work becomes a direct extension of what they endure: fear, loss, and survival. Through graffiti, sculpture, and painting, they attempt to transform the traces of violence into image, material, and memory—not to aestheticize the devastation, but to understand it and resist its erasure. Alongside their stories, Gaza emerges as a fourth character: a city present in the walls, rubble, sea, alleyways, and faces, shaping the artists’ bodies, memories, and work. The three trajectories intersect to reveal how body, memory, city, and art become intertwined in an ongoing attempt to preserve humanity amid genocide.

Kareem Satoom

Kareem Stoom is an actor, theater director, and filmmaker from Al-Shati Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip. Born in 2002, I grew up in an artistic environment that contributed to shaping my artistic development from an early age. I began my career in theater through acting, directing, and stagecraft, before moving into filmmaking. I directed my short film Janna Jahannam (Paradise of Hell), which is 6 minutes long and received the Hope Award at the Amman International Film Festival. The film was also screened as part of a collection of short films in several countries around the world.

Yumna Marwan is an actress and filmmaker from Beirut. After a fifteen-year career in acting, she is now writing and directing films rooted in her experience of Beirut, and with the communities and political perspectives that have shaped her. Her first upcoming feature This Is Not a Set turns the mirror toward the film industry, asking existential questions through absurdist drama and satirical comedy.
