United Screens for Palestine

United Screens for Palestine

United Screens for Palestine is an open and decentralised collective of programmers, cultural workers, and venues. The collective responds to the paralysis brought about by the ongoing genocide, as well as the increasing policing, censorship, and criminalisation of all things Palestinian.

Each screening is intended as a space for conversation, learning, and—most importantly—mobilisation. The initiative affirms that presenting these films means insisting that witnessing is an active process, far beyond the act of watching. It builds on long-standing global film efforts that serve as platforms for substantive dialogue and an earnest exploration of the historical narrative of Palestine.

Films of Resistance

Films of Resistance

A grassroots, decentralised resource and organisation that works to champion and offer financial support to emerging Palestinian filmmakers. The collective - based between London, Madrid, and Lisbon - facilitates screenings held all over the world by local organisers, by compiling film programmes securing rights, sending DCPs and marketing material. Approximately 50% of donations go to supporting cultural and grassroots organisations in Palestine, 40% for production support for Palestinian filmmakers in the region and 10% to cover screening fees at the events.

In just over 9 months, screenings have been held in the UK, as well as in Portugal, Sweden, Los Angeles, Lithuania, Czech Republic and the Netherlands. Among other things, we've secured 3000 dollars for the Jenin cultural centre to facilitate filmmaking efforts.
