The Palestine Film Institute proudly returns to the Marché du Film at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, with its most ambitious program to date under the banner #HereThereAndForever — a tribute to Palestinian resilience, presence, and cinematic imagination. As the official organizer of the Palestine Pavilion, the PFI brings together filmmakers, producers, cultural institutions, and allies from around the world to celebrate and enhance the visibility of the cinema of Palestine on the global stage. The Pavilion serves as both a public gathering space and an industry platform — a home for Palestine film professionals and a site for meaningful dialogue, partnership, and resistance through film. This year’s programming includes daily press briefings, strategic co-production meetings, curated showcases of works-in-progress at Cannes Docs, a Palestinian delegation to the Producer’s Network and the inaugural launch of the PFI Film Fund. Events at the Pavilion include  intimate receptions, partner spotlights, and collaborative forums hosted with the generous support of The Masharawi Fund, Doha Film Institute, Watermelon Pictures, 2048 Foundation and Hikmat Palestine, and in collaboration with Fondation romande pour le cinéma (Cinéforom), Documentary Association of Europe (DAE), International Emerging Film Talent Association (IeFTA), the French Consulate in Jerusalem, Network of Arab Alternative Screens (NAAS), Filmlab Palestine, Akka Films, Lightdox, Noise Film PR, Square Eyes and Film Workers for Palestine.

In honoring Gaza’s cinematic resilience, launching bold new productions, and building bridges with key partners, the Pavilion centers Palestinian storytelling as an act of cultural continuity and creative defiance. Our presence affirms that, despite efforts to erase us, Palestinian voices in cinema are here, they are rising, and they are shaping what it means to participate in the future of global filmmaking.
