7 Siblings Productions - Stop Motion Animation Studio

The Saleh family transformed their parents’ apartment in Amman into a studio to make films and tell stories. Naturally, stop-motion animation became their primary medium, as it allowed them to combine all the family's diverse talents—writing, directing, photography, fashion, engineering, and handicrafts—into a single artistic form. Their storytelling efforts reached a wide international audience and culminated in winning the first Academy Award in the Arabic region for a foreign animation.

Red Carpet Human Rights Film Festival, Gaza, Palestine

Red Carpet Human Rights Film Festival, Gaza, Palestine

The festival presents short and feature-length films, documentaries, and animated films that shed light on local and global humanitarian issues. The first edition took place in May 2015. Amid the rubble of Gaza City’s Shijaiyah district—an area heavily bombarded during the 2014 summer war between Israeli forces and Hamas militants in the densely populated enclave—the organisers rolled out a 60-meter-long red carpet.

It is the first festival in Gaza to focus on human rights issues, featuring films and discussions not only on Palestine but also on other regions around the world.

Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam (PFFA)

Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam (PFFA)

Founded in 2015, the Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam began as a grassroots initiative in response to the exclusion of indigenous Palestinian directors from film programs in the Netherlands. It was originally launched as a protest against the dominance of Western filmmakers in Palestinian film festivals, which limited opportunities for seasoned Palestinian directors to share their work and authentic perspectives.

In response, PFFA envisioned an inclusive platform to showcase a wide range of genres—including drama features, shorts, animations, and documentaries—created by both established and emerging Palestinian filmmakers. The festival has grown from a grassroots action into a professional organization committed to inclusivity, diversity, and the continuous exploration of Palestinian cinematic narratives.

As the only Palestinian film festival in the Benelux region, PFFA draws audiences from metropolitan areas across the region and continues to amplify the voices of Palestinian filmmakers.
