Ciné-Palestine-Toulouse Occitanie

Ciné-Palestine-Toulouse Occitanie

Since 2014, the Ciné-Palestine Toulouse Occitanie Festival, organized by the NGO, La Compagnie Ici, Là-Bas & Ailleurs),  has offered a vibrant nine-day annual rendezvous for a loyal and ever-growing audience in Toulouse and towns across the region. It collaborates with a wide network of cultural partners, including La Cinémathèque de Toulouse and the University Jean-Jaurès Cinéma School ENSAV. Each edition presents stories long silenced on the silver screen through feature films, documentaries, and short films—including many premieres—alongside readings, talks, discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, and more. Though non-competitive, the festival stands as a powerful celebration of Palestine and Palestinian artistic expression.

Sard, Palestinian Films Festival - Rennes Métropole

Sard, Palestinian Films Festival - Rennes Métropole

Since 2023, SARD, the Palestinian Film Festival, has been held every year in the Rennes metropolitan area. The Arabic word ‘Sard’ means “narrative” in English and ‘récit’ in French. The term echoes what has driven the association since the festival was founded, which is to promote Palestinian cinematographic narratives in all their richness and diversity. With the Sard festival, it is Palestinian cinema that tells its own story. The Festival's main aim is to promote Palestinian cinema in all its different facets (repertory and contemporary films, short films, documentaries, professional meetings, etc.). In addition, Sard has developed a partnership between the University of Rennes 2 and Dar al-Kalima University in Bethlehem, enabling students to exchange views and activities and develop exchanges around the cinematographic approach.

Coorigines Production

Coorigines Production

Coorigines Production is a film production company committed to supporting independent cinema that connects places, time, and cultures. It champions films that foster human connection through everyday life stories and intercultural exchange.

Founded by Laura Nikolov, whose background in history, cinema, and international cultural work informs its approach, Coorigines focuses on international co-productions and amplifying rarely heard voices. A central pillar of the company’s identity is its close and ongoing collaboration with celebrated Palestinian filmmaker Rashid Masharawi, a leading voice in Palestinian cinema. Together, they have co-produced several of his latest key works — fiction and documentary alike — including Passing Dreams (2024), Recovery (2021), Diary of Gabrielle Street (2021), and the collective project From Ground Zero (2024), shot in Gaza by young Palestinian filmmakers and shortlisted for the 2025 Oscars.

Other notable titles include Aisha Can’t Fly Away Anymore (Morad Mostafa), selected for Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2025, and Spring Came Laughing (Noha Adel), winner of four awards at the Cairo International Film Festival. Coorigines is currently developing From Ground Zero Plus and has recently expanded into film distribution to further amplify underrepresented and distant voices on the global stage.
