Philistine Films is an independent production company founded in 1997, with offices in both Jordan and Palestine. The company is recognized for its commitment to challenging, thought-provoking, and original films by visionary filmmakers, and has positioned itself at the forefront of independent cinema in the region. Philistine Films was established to support new voices and provide a platform for the emerging independent Arab film scene.

With a focus on the development and co-production of independent feature and documentary films, the company seeks out unconventional stories and fresh narratives. It is dedicated to overcoming the creative, financial, and logistical challenges faced by filmmakers working outside the mainstream.

Philistine’s productions have been selected twice for the Cannes Film Festival and have screened at major festivals including Venice, Berlin, Toronto, and Tribeca. The company’s work has been a finalist for an Academy Award and has been featured in over 300 film festivals worldwide, earning numerous international awards.
