Yellow Dawn Production
Yellow Dawn Production is an aspiring young company offering professional production services for both local and international productions filming in Palestine. Founded in 2007 by Ehab Assal, the company is steadily evolving into a world-class production hub for Palestinian filmmakers.
Yellow Dawn provided extensive production services for The Time That Remains by acclaimed Palestinian filmmaker Elia Suleiman. The film, which was shot primarily in Nazareth and Ramallah, was selected for the Official Competition at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, with Ehab Assal serving as line producer. The independently produced short film Oranges, a collaboration between Yellow Dawn Production and director Maha Haj Assal, won 2 awards in Montpellier and Marseilles film festivals.
Yellow Dawn later co-produced Maha Haj Assal’s debut feature film Personal Affairs (2016) , which was selected for the Official Selection at Cannes and went on to win Best Film at the Haifa Film Festival. The company has also supported emerging talent, producing four short films for first-time directors, including Elvis of Nazareth (2011) by Rany Masalha and No News by Eyas Salman.
